The Napoleonic era is a period in the history of France and Europe. It is generally classified as the fourth and final stage of the French Revolution, with the first being the National Assembly, the second the Legislative Assembly, and the third the Directory. The Napoleonic era began approximately with Napoleon Bonaparte’s coup d’état, the overthrow of the Directory (November 9, 1799), the establishment of the French Consulate, and ended with the Hundred Days and his defeat at the Battle of Waterloo (June 18, 1815).
The porcelain chess pieces have a portrait likeness to historical figures. Each porcelain chess piece is decorated with orders, weapons, and dressed in costumes from this period of European history. The artisans have put a lot of work into depicting the smallest details of each sculpture.
Artistically hand-painted, with additional gold and platinum embellishments.
Handmade chessboard made of Karelian birch has a multi-layered polish. The porcelain chess pieces are packaged in a designer cardboard box.
PACKAGE CONTENTS: Certificate of authenticity, white cotton gloves, protective packaging.
THE SET IS AVAILABLE BY PRE-ORDER AND TAKES 3-4 DAYS FOR DELIVERY
