Porcelain chess pieces representing the battle of Napoleon’s French Grande Army. Two opposing queens representing the highest-ranking officers of each army. Bishops are the standard-bearers. Knights for the cavalry officers. Rooks for the infantry officers. Pawns for the soldiers of both armies. Porcelain pieces painted artistically, with additional gilded decoration.
