The Alliance fleet under the command of Don Juan of Austria discovered the Turkish forces led by Ali Pasha Muezzinzade (275 galleys) in the Gulf of Patras and attacked them. It was the largest naval battle in Western history since classical antiquity, involving over 400 warships.

The material of the figures is porcelain.
Porcelain chess pieces with artistic 22-carat gold painting, with additional platinum decoration. Each porcelain chess piece is individual and bears a portrait resemblance to a historical figure.

The handcrafted chessboard is made of Karelian birch and has a multi-layered finish. The porcelain chess pieces are packaged in a Karelian birch wooden box. It took over 2 years to create and craft a single chess set.
